About me

Whatever brought you here—whether it was a social media post or a friend’s recommendation—I’m truly glad you’ve found your way to this space. Beyond being a writer, I’m a devoted wife and mother to three incredible children: Harmony, James, and Roman. Parenthood, the heart of my life, has filled me with immeasurable joy and shaped the way I navigate both the highs and lows of raising a family here in Austin, TX—affectionately known as the “Live Music Capital of the World” and the place we proudly call home.

My marriage is a constant source of strength and growth. My husband is not only my partner in life but also my best friend and greatest support.

When I’m not shamelessly sipping an Iced Blonde Vanilla Latte from Starbucks or adventuring with my husband—whether we’re beach-bound or exploring dynamic cities like NYC or LA—you’ll likely find me embracing my homebody tendencies. I find comfort in the little things: cooking, listening to thought-provoking podcasts, and soaking up slow moments with my family.

Each of us holds a story worth telling, and through writing, I hope to spark imagination, invite conversation, and connect deeply with those who land on this blog.

Professionally, I work as an advocate at a women’s clinic, where I support women facing unplanned pregnancies, navigating domestic violence, making adoption decisions, and working through the impact of these experiences. This role has opened my eyes to the strength and resilience found in even the most difficult circumstances—and it’s deepened my compassion, fueling the authenticity with which I write.

In fact, much of that same heart has found its way here. I didn’t set out to be a writer, but since I’ve always enjoyed writing as a hobby, I decided to combine it with my love for music by creating this blog. What began as a space to share my music naturally grew into a place where I could also share my reflections, stories, and experiences. Over time, it’s become a space where I explore themes like adoption, trauma, grief, and the layered identity of being Cambodian American. As an adoptee who reclaimed her Cambodian name through a deeply transformative process, I’ve gained a distinct perspective on the complexities within adoptive families and the lasting impact of identity.

Choosing courage over fear has become a guiding principle in my life. It’s what motivates me to show up with honesty—even when that honesty invites pushback. My hope is that by sharing my own journey, I can foster greater empathy and understanding for others walking similar paths—and maybe, just maybe, spark a ripple effect where others feel safe to share their own stories of resilience and healing.

Vulnerability can be intimidating, but it’s also the birthplace of meaningful connection. In sharing our pain and joy, we extend the kind of empathy the world desperately needs. As you explore this space, I invite you to lean into bravery—share what shaped you, what moved you, and what made you who you are. Your story matters. Together, we can create a community rooted in healing and hope—a space where every voice has the power to uplift and comfort someone else.
